Optimizing load

Hello fellow airline directors,

the main theme of the last two weeks was testing the game and optimizing the new features for the upcoming version. Many improvements have been made in the area of performance, user friendliness and fine-tuning formulas. Since we now entered the final phase of development on this version, the new release comes closer by the day.

The image above shows our progress we made on the seat map, which will scale to fit your screen. This means you will be able to see the seat map of any airliner at one glance. As you can see we still have some work to do, but we're going in the right direction. (here with a resolution of 1280 x 720).

Just like we mentioned in the last devblog, we are still working on what we think will be the most game changing feature of this update: the way we calculate passenger and cargo load. We finished just now testing the cargo load, and we're glad we can say it is fully working as expected. Cargo doesn't have many deciding factors on what airline they choose. It only cares about the price and how quickly it can get from A to B, including the wait time on the ground at the departure airport. This means there is not much you can do to compete with your opponents except beating them at the price you offer or optimizing your network. Later on, your reputation will be added in the mix.

We see you soon,

The Devteam
